Puntt Launches New Esports Player Betting Platform

According to reports early Thursday 26th of March 2020, online operator Puntt had launched a new esports player betting platform. The online operator claims a player betting market first following the launch of the platform amidst a global COVID-19 pandemic. It is reported that the new player betting platform will allow users to wager on individual operators.

The esports platform will only be available to UK customers over the age of 18 years. Initially, Puntt promises to offer a range of betting options on Counter-strike: Global offensive (CS: GO) players in the ESL Pro league. Dota2 and other major titles will follow later in the year. Odds will be offered on all tournaments in the CS: GO Major championships and users will be allowed to wager on a range of match performance stats such as most kills and the likes.

Pool Betting Platform

The esports platform will run as a pool betting platform. Unlike other betting platforms, customers will be able to bet against each other rather than taking odds set by the operator. In a statement, Puntt confirmed that it will neither limit nor exclude when they win. The statement went on to further attest that a portion of the turnover will be donated to charity.

“Puntt was built with the sole aim of filling glaring gaps in the esports betting space,” remarked Puntt chief executive, Phill Adams. “Some of the gaps that our esports platform address include, but are not limited to, offering fair and exciting betting products through which users can back individual players as opposed to betting fixed odds on teams alone,” added Mr. Adams.

Mr. Adams confirmed that Puntt had been working on the platform for close to two years and the team was excited to launch the product. “After 18 months of work to bring our esports platform to the market, and despite the difficult circumstances, we are incredibly excited that we will be launching in the UK during the 11th season of the ESL Pro League,” commented the chief executive. He went on to add, “for Puntt, this is just the start. We expect more player betting markets and more esports to be introduced over the coming months.”

Enhanced Odds Matrix Service

In other news, EveryMatrix announced that it had enhanced it odds matrix service. It is reported that the move is aimed at helping customers move into esports betting especially at a time when the traditional sports wagering market is suffering as a result of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Formula 1 motor-racing series also launched a new esports competition in a bid to cushion themselves from the losses incurred as a result of the outbreak. The esports competition was launched in place of the races that have been postponed as a result of the virus outbreak. Esports betting provider Gamescorekeeper also rolled out a new service that will lower the risks of taking bets on events where most participants are under the age of 18 years. On the other hand, the Nevada Gaming Control Board gave approval for licensed operators to start accepting ESL Pro League season bets on esports competitions.
